You read right- I gave someone a shot. Ok, let me explain. Here in Nepal the medical system works a little differently. For example you can go to the pharmacy and buy any medicine you need over the counter. Yesterday Josh, Sujan, and I went to the pharmacy and bought typhoid vaccine. Sujan being a doctor was able to inject both Josh and I with the vaccine, but he needed somone to inject him. I was more than willing to try something new. I grapped the needle and stuck his arm. He even said I did a good job. Like I’ve always said, “life is made up of good stories.”

Put that on the list of things I will never let you do to me.

Wow! I suppose that is one of the many priviledges of being a missionary! Were you gentle? And did you give him a batman band-aid afterwards? If not, you should have, you can’t really experience giving a shot until you’ve given them a batman (or barbie, depending on the gender of your victim) band-aid. Anyways, I still have to agree with Jenni, no matter how practiced you are, I will never, ever let you stick me with a needle! Love you! Mandi
