God’s Doing Great Things: Part 2
I could have come up with a more original title than the one above, but it’s the perfect description of what God is doing: He is still doing great things. Here are just a few things God has been doing around me.
Two of the guys I have been discipling have decided to go into full-time ministry. Sujan will be heading to America to do his medical residency and after he is finished he will head back to Nepal to minister to the sick here. My other friend, Hari, is a teacher here in Kathmandu, but has decided to quit his job and enroll in Bible college. Pray for both of these men as they step out in faith and trust God.
My roommate from college, Josh Woods, has decided to take a semester off of seminary and come to Nepal to work with me. I am excited to say the least! He will be here from September 15- December 15.
I spent months trying to locate a wrestling team here in Nepal and I had all but given up when God suddenly opened a door to meet with Nepal’s national wrestling coach. We had a great meeting and I have now been training with the national team for 2 weeks. It feels so good to get back on the mat and wrestle. My body hurts, but I’m happy. Pray that God will open doors for me to share the Gospel. Only one of the men speaks English and his vocabulary is very limited. But as we have all seen in the past; God can do anything that brings Him glory.
For the last two days in my language class I have been debating faith with another class member. He is a Hare Krishna and a very devoted one at that. He is very intelligent and has been trying to convert me. My heart is completely broken for him and I really desire for him to see the Truth of the gospel, but when we talk I feel like I have to be on the defensive. He is always controlling the conversation and always sharing his views. Pray that God opens his heart and ears to the exclusiveness of the Gospel. He see god in a way I have never had to face before. Everything I told him he says he believes, but he says that he has an “upgrade” from Christianity. He believes that Jesus was God, but he believes that other faith are also an incarnation of God. I’m in over my head here, but I know God in control. May he lead me and may He save this man. If you’re as confused as I was about what a Hare Krishna is, I have linked to website that will explain it in more detail. Click here
On a sad note, my dog Asha ran away from home last week. I had left that evening to eat at a friend’s house and when I came home she was gone. It’s been 8 days now and I am starting to lose hope. I am going to put up signs around the area and offer a reward if she is found. Please pray that God will protect her.
I could keep going, but I will end here. I miss you all and wish you the best. Also, I would like to know who is reading my website, so if you would please leave a comment and let me know you?re out there. Thanks

Nathan,
I’m always thinking of you - wondering what my friend is doing in nepal. It’s good to know that I never have to worry, because God has already proven Himself more than capable of providing for all of your needs and most of your wants.
do well.

Reading and praying! Great to read God continues to do amazing things, wouldn’t expect
anything else, since our God is amazing, and he will always do exceedingly more than we
can think or expect!

Nathan: you do not know me at all. My daughter (TJ Ellis) is a friend of Jenn Hand. Jenn knows me very well, but when Jenn was in your country she gave us your website and I started reading it. I have prayed for you and the people there. Just wanted you to know that I still read your articles and enjoy hearing good news from there. I will still continue to pray for you and the people there. Sorry to hear about your dog and I’ll continue to pray!

to hear about Asha.. but I promise that when she shows up
here at my house I will be happy to send her back home
to you after i play with her for a while. Wow. I feel so blessed Nathan.
It was a year ago this weekend when I came back from Nepal and knew

Nathan,
Wow, God has done so many things in so little time, but that’s our God! Don’t worry the title
fits perfectly! Glad to hear that you’re enjoying wrestling. I take karate and know how much
fun fighting can be. I’ve never heard of a Hare Krishna, but I will definitely pray for this
man as well as the safe return of Asha. Always good to read your website!
Take care!
