The Party
Thank you all for praying today. We had our party tonight and God blessed as always. Seventeen people came and we had a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, and prayer. Many of the unsaved people we invited didn’t come, but I am not disappointed. I know that my God is sovereign in all things and that His will was done tonight. We had one non-believer come and he was able to experiance the love of Christ through the Nepalis here. After some awesome food, we sang several Nepali songs to Jesus, had prayer, and I shared from God’s Word. I shared with the group that God is more than just our salvation- Jesus should be our complete joy. In his book, When I Don’t Desire God, John Piper states that “Believeing means trusting Jesus not only as our all-sovereign Lord and all-sufficient Savior,? but also as our all-surpassing treasure.” What a great thought to cling on to. God is our greatest treasure….or at least He should be. Is He the greatest treasure in your life?
With each passing day I am more convinced that God created to be in this place. I have peace and feel at home inspite of all the crazy things happening. I know I say this a lot, but God is Good!
