Commissioning Service
Last night was my commissioning service at my home church. I was so moved that there are so many people who are behind me in what God has called me to do. I prayed for two things: that my brother would come and that God’s presence would move in a great way. Both were answered. The power of God moved through that service like few I have been in. He broke hearts and challenged many to the high calling of missions.
The night was an emotional one. Having to say good-bye? to so many of my friends was difficult, but the service reminded me that there is a greater calling in my life than earthly comforts. The calling to abandon all and share the bread of life with a hungery world is the greatest calling I could ever ask for. With one full day left before I leave, I am beginning to realize how big of a step this is. It’s a step of faith, but a step that is so exciting.
God as? I step out into the unknown make my journey clear, not of trial and pain, but of uncertainty. May the light your face shine on my path and show Me your way. As I go, may the prayers of your children go with me.

It was an amazing service. Praise the Lord– if I wasn’t already wanting to go I would have signed up right then!
Just know the prayers of this child are going with you!

That was the most incredible mission service I have ever been to! Glory– Sign me up!
I am so excited for what God is going to do and can’t wait to see it happen. I feel so blessed to be able to watch, wait and see as I pray. Just know the prayers of “this child” are going with you!!! See you in less then 2 months!

THAT NIGHT WAS TOUGH FOR ME TOO. SEEING THE PERSON WHO GOD HAD SENT TO CHANGE MY LIFE AROUND LEAVING FOR NEPAL WAS TOUGH. BUT I HAD PREPARED MYSELF AND WAS LIKE “GO!!” BECAUSE I HAD UNDERSTOOD THAT HE WAS GOING FOR A GREAT PURPOSE. TO LEAD OTHERS TO CHRIST. YEAH AT FIRST I THOUGHT,THIS IS STUPID!!I DON’T WANT HIM TO LEAVE!!BUT I WAS THINKING SELFISHLY AND NOT SEEING THROUGH THE EYES OF CHRIST THAT THERE WAS A GREATER PURPOSE FOR NATHAN. BUT NOW I AM GLAD THAT HE IS WHERE HE IS AND THAT HE IS IN THE CENTER OF GOD’S WILL.I HOPE THAT GOD BLESSES HIM WHERE HE IS. AND THAT ARE MANY LITTLE NATHANS AROUND THE WORLD.-STEPHANIE

Nathan, the comissioning service will forever be in my heart. The quotes that David did with Todd reading was so touching. Love the song David did too. Truly wonderful to see Jason there, hope he comes back often. Tell David to hurry home, word is that the teenagers have gone wild!!!! Just kidding. Norma
