Enjoy HIM First

Bloged in Devotional, Uncategorized by reachingnepal Friday January 6, 2006

This afternoon I came to our local coffee house, “The Beanery”, to load up my Ipod and met two men who God has His hand on. Both Mike and Nathan are in there mid-30’s and both are seeking what God would have them to do at this point in their lives. A local pastor was with us and reminded us of a great truth. God grows people and then uses them. So many times we feel like we have to rush through life, but God desires to mold us into His image first. God may use some at a very young age to do a great work and others He may choose to use at a later age in life. Time is not the issue. As we grow in our faith daily, it’s then that we are used. The greatest pleasure we can? ever? experiance in our lives is to be with HIM. He alone can give us the joy we so long for. Once we understand that, being used by God will come naturally.

    Nathan,
The Lord led me to your website today (07Jan2006) now I know why…you being deployed to the front lines on the 11th! Congratulations on the completion of your preliminary preparations, now get ready for the ride! It won’t be easy, you’ll be despised and rejected many times, but you’ll be in good company with our Savior and Lord, and always remember that His Grace is sufficient for you being made perfect through our weakness! It sounds like you are “psyched” and I know that you will run with compete abandon toward the prize! May God be with you and bless you beyond all that you can ask or imagine as you take the Good News of Salvation to the ends of the earth! We’ll be praying for you and keeping tabs on this site to stay in touch to see what God does in and through you on behalf of His Kingdom in Nepal.
    In Christ,
    Peter
